Alcanada Nominated For Spains Best Golf Course

You do not have to be a golfer to appreciate the extraordinary beauty of this golf course, the awe inspiring views over the sea will quite simply blow you away and one could arguable state that this is perhaps the most beautiful spot on the whole island.
Situated in the North of the island on the outskirts of Alcudia and looking out over the famous white sandy beach of Alcudia to one side and to the other an idyllic tiny island with a little white lighthouse perched on the top, from which the course took its name of Alcanada.
With all this in mind, coupled with a cleverly designed course, it is little wonder that this year, the course has once again been nominated for the title of Spain’s best golf course in the 2015 World Golf Awards. One of 15 outstanding venues nominated in last year ’s inaugural awards, Alcanada – the only course next to the sea in Mallorca has once again been shortlisted for this prestigious title. The club is no stranger to such well-deserved accolades, having already being rated an “outstanding” level by Leading-courses.com, which is the highest rating awarded by this website, making it one of only 12 clubs in the whole of Spain to achieve this.
Last year it was voted as the highest-rated course in the Balearics by Golfboo, the world’s first golf travel search engine and voted “favourite course” in Europe for a 4th year running to 1golf.eu
The World Golf Awards is part of the World Travel Awards and commends excellence in Golf Tourism, world class courses and destinations.
The Voting for the award will be closed on 27 September and we sincerely hope that the course will be celebrating a very worthy success!
