Andratx is located at the south-west tip of Mallorca, 26 kilometres west of Palma, set in a beautiful valley in the foothills of the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains. The area of Andratx borders the municipalities of Estellencs and Calvià and is a charming very upmarket town sat amid picture postcard hillsides covered in almond, orange pine and olive trees.
The area is separated in to 2 main parts, Andratx town, which retains its very traditional Spanish feel with many typical Mallorcan village houses and a Spanish village atmosphere. The town comes to life every Wednesday when there is a large market, selling everything from locally produced wine and honey to scarves and soaps.
